Craig Skelton was heard by a barmaid at Jack Rabbit Slims telling his 45-year-old victim, “Stop touching my a***”, before flooring him. Graphic CCTV footage was played to Hull Crown Court showing the 27-year-old, who plays back-row for Hull Dockers, arriving at the Witham bar with friends in the early hours of August 29. Prosecutor Stephen Welch said Skelton, described as a “fit young man and rugby player”, launched an entirely unprovoked assault.
