A painting hangs in the mess before Fusilier (Fus) Llywelyn 23244169, the regimental goat mascot of the Royal Welch Fusiliers marches alongside the Goat Major Fus Matthew Owen at his ‘pass out’ parade at Tidworth camp, Tidworth, Wiltshire. 22 January 2016. In 1844, Queen Victoria presented the Royal Welch Fusiliers with its first official Royal goat and since this time the Regular and Reserve battalions have recruited a goat from the Royal herd at the great Orme, Llandudno.
