The latest instalment of smash hit series Grand Theft Auto is scheduled to hit the shelves in Spring 2013 – developer Rockstar announced this week.
Grand Theft Auto 5, created by Edinburgh-based Rockstar North, is the eagerly anticipated sequel to the multi-million selling GTA IV, which was released in 2008.

A statement on the official website said: “Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.”
Los Santos is the fictional city portrayed in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
In response to questions on its website about possible PC versions of the game, Rockstar said, “We’re currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don’t have any details to share about a PC version at this time.”
