A Porsche driver had a lucky escape when he lost control and crashed into a SKIP in the early hours of yesterday (Wed). See NTI story NTIPORSCHE. Emergency services rushed to Ladypool Road in Highgate, Birmingham, at 3.30am. Dramatic pictures taken at the scene show the £40,000 Porsche Boxster sideways in the middle of the road with its bonnet wedged under the skip. Another snap shows the how the front end of the sporty convertible car has been completely crushed by the impact. Firefighters used a winch to pull the navy blue Porsche from under the skip before leaving police to arrange for the road to be cleaned up. Incredibly, the driver only suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution by paramedics.
