Police seized £1.25 million worth of supercars in a crackdown on a boy racer gang – all aged 20 or under.
The spoilt youths terrified locals by speeding around residential areas in Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis at up to 125mph.
Police arrived at the scene in Vancouver, Canada, and impounded 12 supercars for seven days.
The wannabe racers, many of whom attend nearby boarding schools and don’t have full driving licenses, were charged with driving without reasonable consideration and fined $196 (£120).
But the rich kids – 12 males and one female – could have further explaining to do after it emerged cops may be able to permanently confiscate the vehicles.
The Civil Forfeiture Act gives the province the authority to seize vehicles if a civil court rules that their street racing could have caused severe injury or death.
This means three Lamborghinis Gallardos, three Nissan GT-Rs, two Maserati Gran Turismos, a Mercedes SLS Gullwing, Mercedes SL65, Audi R8, Aston Martin DBS and a Ferrari 599 could all be sold by authorities.
Corporal Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Lower Mainland District Regional Police Service, said: ”These drivers seemed to be looking for attention. Well, they definitely got the attention of police.”

Anyone else see the problem here?
see wha the story doesnt tell you, is these kids were never caught by the police. the police got a few phone calls.
as well, they were not speeding in residential areas, they were on a highway
these kids were never caught in the act, there is no proof of any of this
What is the difference if they were speeding on the highway or in a residential area – speeding is speeding! Making matters worse, they were speeding in excess of twice the speed limit. Moreover, there are numerous witnesses to them driving at these insane speeds.
Stop trying to protect a bunch of irresponsible youths who are blatantly breaking the law.
Where and when is the auction ?
