Police hunt transsexual and wife who disappeared – leaving daughter behind

Police were yesterday hunting a transsexual and his wife who have disappeared – leaving their ten-year-old daughter behind.

Charlotte and Jake Addams went missing from their home on April 21 and have made no contact with family or friends since.

Officers say Jake – also known as Amyrose – was going through a gender reassignment process to become a woman.

He had previously posted images of himself on the internet wearing a wig, women’s clothes and make up.

Charlotte, 30, and Jake, 38, of Plymouth, Devon, vanished from home five months ago leaving their 10-year-old daughter behind.

Detectives say they received a reported sighting at the New Forest and Hampshire County Show between July 27 and 29.

Several eyewitnesses say they saw Jake seen leaving a ladies lavatory dressed as a woman.

Detective Constable Louise Steele said: “It’s possible the couple are somewhere in the Hampshire area and we’re keen to hear from anyone who may have some information about the whereabouts of this couple.

“The person making the reported sighting said he saw Amyrose leaving a female restroom, saying you could clearly see it was a man dressed as a woman and his appearance was drawing a great deal of attention.

“They also recall a number of exhibitors staring, in particular two females dressed in medieval clothing who had been seen previously working on a blacksmiths stall. It is understood the block of toilets were close to the antiques tent.

“If this helps to jog anyone’s memory and they have some information, no matter how small in detail, I would urge them to contact us.”

Charlotte is 5ft, with short dyed red hair, nose piercings and tribal tattoos on the base of her neck and the side of her left calf.

Jake is 5ft 11in, of heavy build and with brown, shoulder-length receding hair. He also has tattoos on the inside of his left forearm and on his right shoulder.
