This beautiful sunrise was captured by an amateur photographer who studies weather patterns to capture the gorgeous scenes – which can be over in seconds.
Eagle-eyed Robert Peel has spent years using local knowledge to perfect the art of taking spectacular dawn photographs.
Robert, 53, a marketing company boss, took his latest images as the sun rose over his hometown of Malmesbury, Wilts., yesterday morning.

He said: “The key to taking great sunrise photos is getting up early, but it’s so dark now in the morning you can have a bit of a lie in.
“It is best not to have clouds on the horizon, but really high clouds are better as they tend to give beautiful contrast.

”We have had so little high pressure this year, it has been hard to find great sunrises.
“This picture was taken just before the sun rose – if I had been five seconds later I would have missed it.”
