This is the delightful moment a sedate game of lawn bowls was interrupted – by the QUEEN.
Members of the Brimfield and Little Hereford Bowling Club were stunned to see the monarch watching their game from the side-line before striding across the green for a CHAT.
The game was taking place in the grounds of Windsor Castle last Sunday when Her Majesty decided to go for a walk to take in some “fresh air”.

She was being driven around her grounds in her Land Rover when she dropped into watch the Royal Household Bowling Club, who play their matches at Windsor Castle.
Astonishingly, she told the players she had been keeping tabs on the England cricket team’s performance against Australia in the Ashes when she fancied some air.
Brimfield player David Evans, 57, said: “She drove down and it was a total surprise to the team.
“We were absolutely delighted and it being our 25th anniversary tour made the day even more special for us.
“She was very relaxed, we formed a guard of honour and we were introduced to her.
“As she came along the line, one of our players, Jim Allen, told her about the cricket score, which had finished just a few minutes earlier.
“She seemed delighted and said how her policemen had been keeping her updated, we are sure she gave a slight fist pump at the news.

“She told us she had taken some fresh air and asked if it was okay for her to watch the game. We were delighted.
“She watched us play for around 30 minutes, there was quite a lot of pressure on us to perform in front of
her.
“It is an amazing coincidence that she turned up, I heard she has only been to the bowls green around four times in the last 18 years.”
The Queen, who wore a lilac dress, happily posed with the players for photographs after watching the Royal Household Bowling Club win 6-2.
Brimfield captain Doug Smurthwaite, 70, added: “It was a total surprise – an incredible day.”
After the visit, the 87-year-old monarch hopped back into her vehicle and was driven to the short distance back to Windsor Castle.
Club secretary Jill Turberfield, 65, mentioned to Her Majesty about the soon to be new arrival in the family.
She said: “It was a lovely moment, one to treasure.
“I mentioned that she was expecting a happy event very soon and she just smiled.”
Household’s captain, Graham Crisp said: “Her last visit was in 2007 so Brimfield should feel very honoured to be here.
“It’s certainly a fitting way for the Brimfield club to celebrate its 25th anniversary.”
