See Centre Press story CPOSPREY: These amazing pictures show a “majestic” osprey teaching anglers how to fish as it dive bombs into the water for a free fish supper. The male birds are coming to pick up rainbow trout from the Rothiemurchus fishery in Aviemore, to feed their female companions as they sit on their nests. It is believed 10 to 12 ospreys come to the pond to fish for food every morning and sometimes return later in the day. The “cheeky” birds are said to have given anglers a fright as they steal fish from under their noses and make a lot of noise as it “dive bombs” into the water.
