See News Team story NTIFAT; A new football league has been launched with a twist – it’s for fat blokes only. The competition is open for men with a BMI of 30 or over and points are awarded not just for games won, but pounds lost each week. It is the brainchild of Andrew Shanahan, who got fed up with women-centric weightloss classes when he tried to shed the pounds and so set up Men V Fat in 2014. With 67% of men tipping the scales with a BMI of over 25, Andrew says it’s the Sunday League teams that are exclusive and his competition will help combat the epidemic.
