The first Dancing With The Stars cast for 2011 has been revealed.
The show, a US version of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, has pulled together a typical selection of fading celebrities hoping to breathe life back in to their careers.
Producers appear to be keen to avoid any of the controversy caused by last year’s inclusion of Bristol Palin and, despite rumours that the Tea Party’s Christine O’Donnell had been approached, there are no political faces to be seen on the new line-up.
Instead there are several athletes, including WWF champion Chris Jericho and two-time Super Bowl winner Hines Ward, Disney Channel star Chelsea Kane and talk-show host Wendy Williams.
Also joining them will be supermodel Petra Nemcova, original Karate Kid Ralph Macchio and Fat Actress star Kirstie Alley.
The new season will begin on 21 March.
