Nate Dogg dies aged 41


Singer Nate Dogg passed away last night aged 41.

According to his local paper, The Long Beach Press Telegram, who broke the news, the cause of his death is not yet known.

Nate – real name Nathaniel Dwayne Hale – had been battling ill health for some time, having suffered two strokes in 2007 and 2008.

The Death Row-signed artist first came to prominence with the 1994 hit Regulate, a collaboration with rapper Warren G.

His vocals have also featured in tracks by artists such as Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, 2pac and Eminem.

Nate also released three solo albums: G Funk Classics vol. 1 & 2, Music and Me and Nate Dogg.
