Seven women working at a hotel reception have fallen pregnant within 18 months – after they all shared the same chair.
Elaine Ledster, Kim Gidley, Laura Burchill and Gina Ripley have all given birth to boys after sitting on a blue reception chair at a hotel in Milton Keynes, Bucks.
Their receptionist colleagues Alyce Grisley, Claire Fitchett and Seran Daines are now also expecting – meaning all seven have fallen pregnant within 18 months.
Giles Shaw, general manager at the Best Western Moore Place Hotel in Milton Keynes, Bucks., revealed that other members of staff are now avoiding the ”fertility chair”.
He said: ”The chair is just a typical office swivel chair, but we now have staff refusing to sit on it.
”We first started joking that if anyone wants a baby boy then they should come and take a seat on our fertility chair, but now it’s just so surreal that its happening every time.
”Our hotel is well known in the area and now we will be known as the place to come for a baby boy.”
The seven women all fell pregnant while working on the reception at the Best Western Moore Place Hotel.
Elaine was first to give birth to son Danny, 12 months old, followed by Laura’s baby Leon, five months, Gina’s son Daniel, five months, and Kim’s son Niall, five months.
Seran, Alyce and Claire are now all heavily pregnant with Seran due to give birth in September, and Alyce and Claire in May.
