A new mum was quizzed by cops on suspicion of attempted murder today – after her baby daughter was found dumped in a BIN.
The tiny girl was found with serious injuries after she was discovered a bin at the back of flats on Saturday night.
The toddler had plummeted 50ft down a rubbish chute from the fifth floor of the building.
A 24-year-old woman, believed to be the child’s mother, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder while a 32-year-old man, thought to be the girl’s father, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police found the baby inside a bin in a refuse collection area at the back of flats in Boscobel Crescent, Wolverhampton, West Mids., at 6.30pm on Saturday.
The child was found shortly after she had been reported missing.
She was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “Police were called to a flat on Boscobel Crescent in Wolverhampton at around 6:30pm on Saturday September 8 to a report of a missing child.
“A very young baby was subsequently found nearby in the refuse collection area with serious injuries.
“She was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where she currently remains in a critical condition.
“Police are investigating how the child came to be in the refuse area and are conducting enquiries around the tower block this morning.”
Police yesterday confirmed the baby was found “inside a bin”.
Detective Inspector John Smith, from the force Public Protection Unit, said: “We are making a number of enquiries to establish how this young baby has come to sustain her injuries, and how she came to be found in the refuse area of the flats.
“The two people who have been arrested are related to the baby and we are currently not seeking anyone else as part of our enquiries.
“We urge anyone who has information to help our investigation to come forward at the earliest opportunity.”
Residents at the Weston Court flats where the baby was found expressed shock at the violent nature of her injuries.
Police yesterday confirmed they were “investigating the possibility” the baby had fallen down the rubbish chute.
The tot, said by police to be in a critical condition, was heard screaming by neighbours on Saturday night.
Residents said the child had tumbled 50ft down the rubbish chute which is accessed on the landing of the fifth floor.
Nora Donnelly, 49, said: “On Saturday night there were about five police cars and two ambulances at the front door.
“You could hear a child crying in the back of one of the ambulances.
“People were saying that a baby girl from the fifth floor had gone down the chute.
“It’s strange because I don’t remember seeing anyone pregnant or carrying a young child around.
“And I haven’t noticed any police activity in any of the flats so there’s a chance they might not have lived here.
“It’s a real shock to have something like that happen around here, I don’t know who could do that to a baby.
“I just hope she’s going to be alright.”
A local shopkeeper said that police had been tight-lipped about the incident.
He said: “People have been talking about it since Saturday night.
“The police have been searching the scene ever since then but they’re not really telling us anything.”
West Midlands Police confirmed they have been given an extra 24 hours to question the 24-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and the 32-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
