This is a train driver’s terrifying view of a reckless motorist who tried to beat a level crossing barrier.
Susan Anderson, 55, was just seconds from death when she drove into the path of the oncoming engine.
The barriers were dropping as she approached in her Ford Fiesta but she ignored them and headed onto the crossing to find the train bearing down on her.

The unnamed driver hit the brakes as Anderson just managed to reverse her car out of the way.
She sat trapped between the closed barrier and the track as the train thundered past at Rackheath, nr Norwich, Norfolk.
Anderson, of Norwich, escaped injury or damage to her car and was prosecuted for ignoring the level crossing.
She admitted careless driving around 8.30am on December 6 last year and was fined #400 by Norwich magistrates.
British Transport Police said: “Incredibly some people are still putting their lives on the line by ignoring warning lights and sirens and trying to dash through crossing when trains are approaching.
“This is completely irresponsible and dangerous and we will not hesitate to take action against anyone caught doing so.
“Working closely with Network Rail, we hope to educate people of the potential dangers of crossing misuse to reduce such incidents.”
