A motorist has been charged with careless driving after traffic police spotted him having a SHAVE as he drove along a busy motorway.
The dopey driver was pulled over by officers on the M5 near Droitwich, Worcs., after he was seen using his electric razor behind the wheel on Thursday.
A spokesman for Central Motorway Police Group said they clocked 58-year-old as he travelled through a section of road-works at around 50mph.
Officers then followed him for three miles before pulling him over at a McDonald’s car park at Junction 5 at around 5pm.
He was arrested and charged with careless driving and he will now appear before Worcester Magistrates Court next month.
Sergeant Paul Hardy, a CMPG motorway supervisor, said: “This behaviour behind the wheel would be responsible at any time but particularly in an area like this where there are workman around and there are increased hazards.
“Having a shave is one of the most irresponsible actions we have ever seen and is up there with putting make-up on while driving.”
