Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister has announced that the mystery mother of his baby is DEAD.
Katia Aveiro, 33, made the shocking claim whilst denying recent reports about the mother’s identity, but did not say when or how she had died.
She told an interviewer: “There is no woman calling him. There is no mother, no telephone calls, nothing. His mother died. The baby doesn’t have a mother.”
Speculation over the woman’s identity began last July when the Real Madrid star announced he had fathered a son. He said the baby, called Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, would be under his “exclusive guardianship” and that the mother did not want to be identified.
Newspapers in his home country of Portugal immediately claimed that he had hired a surrogate in America to have the child.
Then earlier this month the Sunday Mirror reported that the child’s mother was in fact a 20-year-old student from Manchester who’d fallen pregnant after a one-night-stand with the 25-year-old striker.
They alleged she had been paid £10 million to hand over her baby and sign a contract preventing her from telling even friends and family that she is the mother.
The woman is now said to bitterly regret her decision, and constantly calls the footballer begging for a chance to see her son.
But Katia dismissed the claims as “nonsense”, saying: “The boy is ours. I’m not going to say how he arrived with us. But I guarantee he’s my brother’s son, my nephew, from our blood. His mother is my mother, who is with him 24 hours a day.”
Ronaldo’s mother Doleres, 55, is often pictured with the baby and is said to be raising him as her own.
