A pretty young mum who intervened to stop a woman being assaulted by her boyfriend ended up with a broken nose and black eye – after the thug headbutted her.
Cake maker Laurie Malyon, 22, bravely stepped in when she spotted bully Dacian Martin kicking and spitting at his girlfriend at a bus stop.
She barged between the pair – but the brute then turned on her and warned her to “mind her own business” or he would “f*ck her up”.
But when Laurie refused to back down he brutally headbutted her before running away.
Luckily the incident in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, was witnessed by several people and Martin, 27, was arrested and is now awaiting sentence.
Despite her horrific injuries, Laurie says the incident will not deter her from sticking up for innocent people in future.
She said: “I just snapped when I saw him being so brutal and horrible to his girlfriend – nobody should treat a woman like that.
“The girl was crying her eyes out. He kept screaming obscenities at her, telling her she’s worthless.
“Nobody is worthless, and I could not just stand there and let someone treat a fellow woman so badly.
“I have no idea why I did it – I’m tiny, I can barely beat an egg.
“But at the end of the day, it was worth it, because I stopped someone being violent towards a woman.”
The incident happened as 5ft 1ins Laurie, who has a four-year-old daughter, waited at a bus stop in her home town of Weston-super-Mare in October.

She explained: “I got in between them and told him he should never spit on a woman, hit her or talk to her in that way.
“He towered above me, but I didn’t care – I wasn’t going to let him treat anyone that way.
“He said I should mind my own business or he’d f*ck me up.
“I told him to go ahead, as there were plenty of witnesses around, and that’s when he just headbutted me.
“He hit me really hard, but the adrenaline was pumping so I didn’t feel it until later when my face started swelling up.”
She did not immediately seek medical treatment but collapsed two days later and was rushed to A&E with concussion.
Laurie was herself was once in an abusive relationship and put her life back on track with counselling from charity The Women’s Project.
She said: “Countless times I was shouted at in public and people walked past as if it was an inconvenience to them – no-one stepped in and did anything.
“I looked at this woman and saw myself years ago. It was just horrible.”
The girl Martin was attacking, who is under 18, thanked Laurie for her bravery on Facebook.
Two restraining orders have been put in place preventing thug Martin from contacting either of his victims.
Young mum Laurie started her own bakery company, CakesbyLaurie, after a bad break-up.
She said: “The reason I got into baking was a boyfriend broke up with me and I was really sad, so I started baking.
“Baking made me happy, so I wanted to do something with my time that makes me happy all the time.
“I sent the girl some cookies – cookies make everything better.
“My broken nose has healed and my black eye has faded, but my sense of pride in myself will never go away.”
Martin pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating when he appeared at North Somerset Courthouse on December 6, where he was remanded in custody until sentencing this Thursday.
That woman is amazing, so proud!
is that the pic???
Thats a very brave, and wise young lady. she has set an example, on how people should be. well done.
We certainly have some brave men in Australia, a judiciary that loves to protect them and couldn’t give a stuff about victims
