A father and son turned an annual chore into an adventure far, far away by creating a stop-motion video of their Christmas tree being assembled – by STORMTROOPERS.
Creative Phil and Kyle Shearrer (corr) spent about two hours creating the brilliant short film, by shooting the iconic Star Wars baddies building a fake Christmas tree.
The series of images shows the dozy Galactic Empire troops mucking about while putting up the massive tree, including having a cigarette break and even a snooze.

One of the daft troopers is seen ‘using the fork’ on a plug socket instead of the Force, but the four-inch-tall team eventually failed to get the top on the tree – so got help from Darth Vader.
Although not as complex as building the Death Star, the Stormtroopers still had to rope in a helping hand from their evil boss.
The plastic Sith Lord used the dark side of the Force to lend a helping hand – and levitated the final piece of the tree in place.
The hilarious pictures were created by HR worker Phil and his son 18-year-old son Kyle – and they even roped-in their dog Max to act as an alien-mount for one of the poses.

Phil, 52, said: “It took about two hours – we were just playing around and thought it would be funny.
“We play a lot, but never like this.
“I have been accumulating the Stormtroopers for years, and it was about time we put them to good use.”
The corny ending to the cracking series of pictures, created last week, shows the countdown to the latest Star Wars film, which opens in cinemas worldwide on December 16.

American Phil, from Columbia, Missouri, added: “We love the films and Stormtroopers just crack us up.
“There are two types of people in the world right now, those who are counting down the days to Christmas and those who are counting down the days to Star Wars.”
Student Kyle added: “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and May The Force Be With You!”
The album, which was posted online on Sunday, has already racked-up more than a million views.
