Martin Jol is in line for the hot seat at Blackburn Rovers should Steve Kean fail to halt the Lancashire club’s slide towards the bottom three.
Rovers have slumped into 14th place in the Premier League, just two points ahead of Birmingham City – who occupy the final place in the bottom three and have two games in hand.
It comes after a miserable run of form from Blackburn, who have taken just one point from the last five games.
And after Saturday’s loss at Fulham, Rovers owners Venky’s held summit talks with Kean – despite describing him as “unsackable” when they gave him a two-year deal six weeks ago.
The Indians are now believed to want an experienced foreign boss, with Jol as their number one choice ahead of Claudio Ranieri.
Kean may have just Saturday week’s home fixture against Blackpool to guarantee a stay of execution, despite being the fans’ choice to help Blackburn stay in the top flight.
he certainly is not the fans choice to keep us up, and 90% of rovers fans didnt want him to start with and we all want him out now
