Staff at Britain’s biggest Christmas tree farm have their work cut out – harvesting thousands of festive firs.
The sprawling 22,500-acre Elveden Estate in Newmarket, Suffolk, supplies homes and business across the country with the seasonal evergreens.
Forestry experts began cutting down the beautiful trees at the beginning of November with some workers putting in 90-hour weeks to meet demand.

This year they expect to sell 7,000 trees ranging from three footers to 100 feet giants with some of the biggest costing up to £1,000.
Elveden Estate has around 100,000 Christmas trees growing year round to meet future demand and has been a major supplier to British families – including chef Jamie Oliver – for the past four decades.
Each tree is hand trimmed by dedicated growers in order to achieve the perfect cone shape.
