Nottingham Forest have completed the loan signing of Liverpool left-back Paul Konchesky until the end of the season.
The defender has endured a miserable time at Anfield following his summer move from Fulham.
A statement on the club’s website confirmed Konchesky’s departure.
Konchesky will join up with Forest, managed by Billy Davies, as the famous club look to return to the Premier League. They’re currently fifth in the Championship.
Since Kenny Dalglish took over, the Scot has opted to play right-back Glen Johnson in Konchesky’s position with Fabio Aurelio on the bench.
The club’s 59-year-old boss is also thought to be looking to bring Aston Villa defender Stephen Warnock back to Liverpool on loan until the end of the season.
Konchesky has been hugely unpopular on the red half of Merseyside since he signed in August – failing to perform during Hodgson’s short-lived reign.
But it was the 29-year-old’s mum Carol who essentially sealed his fate whenshe wrote a foul-mouthed Facebook post about Liverpool fans, referring to them as “scouse scum”.
Liverpool refused to comment on the status of star striker Fernando Torres who wants to leave Liverpool for rivals Chelsea.
The club also confirmed young defender Daniel Ayala had gone on loan to Derby County.
