Lady Gaga is rumoured to be making a cameo appearance in the new Muppets movie.
The eccentric star, who famously once wore a dress made out of Kermit heads, will be joining stars such as Jack Black and Glee’s Jane Lynch in the film, due out Christmas 2011.
Trade title Production Week has also reported that Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet and The Office’s John Krasinki and Ed Helms will all play members of her entourage.
The latest installment in the franchise, which has been given the working title of The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made, will be the Muppets’ first big-screen outing since 1999’s Muppets in Space.
The storyline will follow Kermit and his pals putting on a show to save their old theatre. A new Muppet character, iPhone-owning Walter, has already been confirmed.
It has been co-written by Forgetting Sarah Marshall’s Jason Segal and Nicholas Stoller, and is currently in production in The States.
Lady Gaga was the fourth highest earning female celebrity last year, taking home a staggering $40 million.
