NTI CAT DRAIN

Dusty the tiny kitten at the RSPCA centre, Newbrook Farm, Frankley, Birmingham, who got her head stuck in an industrial bin drainage hole and had to be rescued in a joint operation between the RSPCA and the fire service. See NTI story NTICAT. The head of the tiny five-week-old kitten was spotted in the car park at Hailes Park Close, Wolverhampton, by a member of the public yesterday morning (Tuesday, 5 January), who immediately rang the RSPCA. RSPCA inspector Steve Morrall said: “When I arrived, I saw the head of the kitten poking out from this bin – it was so unusual and I have never seen anything like it before. It is very likely she was looking for food in the bin, but panicked when the bin was being emptied and got herself stuck.”
