Comedian Frankie Boyle could be facing legal action from Katie Price following a series of controversial jokes about her disabled son Harvey.
The acerbic Scot joked about who would lose and “have to keep” the eight-year-old in a custody battle and how Price is only with cage fighter Alex Reid because he’s one of only a few men who could stop Harvey from raping his mum.
Boyle’s jokes were initially made on his hugely successful stand-up tour but were re-purposed for his controversial new TV show, Tramadol Nights.
On Tuesday night’s episode, broadcast on Channel 4, the 38-year-old said: “Jordan and Peter Andre are still fighting each other over custody of Harvey – eventually one of them will lose and have to keep him.”
He then added: “I have a theory about the reason Jordan married a cage fighter – she needed a man strong enough to stop Harvey from f**king her.”
The former Mock the Week star’s gags have managed to do something many thought was impossible – unite Katie Price and ex-husband Peter Andre, with the pair both criticising the comic’s “disgusting” comments.
Price told The Daily Star: “Harvey is a little miracle. Every day he overcomes so many difficulties and has so many battles to win due to his medical problems. I love him and am deeply proud to be his mother.
“If Mr Boyle had a tenth of his courage and decency, he would know that to suggest, let alone think funny, that Harvey may sexually attack me is vile and deeply unfair.
“To bully this unbelievably brave child is despicable; to broadcast it is to show a complete and utter lack of judgement. I have asked my lawyers to write to Channel 4.”
Peter Andre, who was Harvey’s stepfather, also weighed into the argument.
A representative for the singer added: “We’re all disgusted by these comments. Peter is angry and very upset at Harvey being mocked in this way. Children, especially a disabled youngster, should be off-limits.”
Channel 4 describes Tramadol Nights as an “adult only comedy from the unique Glaswegian comic who mixes razor-sharp stand up with original sketches crafted in the darkest recesses of the human psyche.” It warns viewers of the content before the show is broadcast.
It has already seen the Scot make light of Jade Goody’s death and joked about child murder, mental health and featured a sketch about a paraplegic stuntman called Chuck Wochek.
His stand-up routine includes gags about Baby P and the Fritzl family.

How long beore Jordan gives a series of exclusive (paid for) interviews about this and follows up with more about “Harvey’s Story”?
Boyle’s comments went too far for a mass audience, but now she’ll milk it for thousands.
And probably get back with Andre after this “torture” brings them back together, so they can release a new DVD, autobiography, Hello exclusive photos and (please god no) new singles.
I can see the pound sings in her eyes even as she sobs in the inevitable ITV interview.
At least Harvey wont ever get to see it, so he will only be offended if the drama queen tells him what has happened.
Frankie Boyle used to have a razor sharp wit and incredible sense of humour. He knew the line and regularly stepped over it, supported by an ever growing fan base. But now he’s just not so funny. Because we all know the humour and are ready for it, he’s got to pick more and more dubious topics to get the same shock…then laugh reaction. Tramadol nights just makes me disappointed and switch off. Tell a joke, get a laugh, but don’t then do a sketch to reiterate how funny the joke was- coz that’s not funny. The best bit of the show is trying to recognise him without a beard. He needs to rethink his strategy if he is going to still be around in comedy by this time next year. Perhaps not retelling the same jokes but with different names in would be a start.
Anyone who is prepared to put themselves so much in the media spotlight to the point that it is despicable, deserves it. BTW I thought it was Hilarious with a capital H. Keep up the good work Frankie!!
