Never one to mince her words, the 32-year-old exclaimed: “I look back and think. ‘Oh my god was it even a relationship?’
“It was all cameras and photoshoots.”
Despite being the person in the world you’d least expect to have an aversion to being filmed and photographed, Katie added: “It was wrong to have a relationship based on that.”
She also explained her decision to take her children out of the public eye, saying that now they are old enough to realise they are “famous” she wants to give them a more normal life.
Speaking of her decision to put them in front of the cameras in the first place, she said: “I was with different management at the time.
“My whole life was about photoshoots.”
Which, of course, sounds completely different to how it is now.
She also hit back at claims she is ‘moving too fast’ with new Argentine toyboy Leandro Penna, 25, who she has been parading in a series of Twitter and papparazzi shots ever since picking him up at Elton John’s Oscars afterparty last month.
Katie said: “That’s my life, you only live once. There’s no rulebook. I’m happy.”
