Channel 4 has refused to apologise to Katie Price following comments made by Frankie Boyle on the Scot’s show, Tramadol Nights.
Price, who was disgusted by the Boyle’s jokes about her disabled son Harvey, will now make a formal complaint to the broadcasting watchdog OFCOM.
Katie and Harvey’s lawyer Mark Bateman of Archerfield Partners said: “Following our earlier statement, we are deeply saddened that, despite requests, publicly-owned Channel 4 has not met the 5pm deadline for an apology over the deeply offensive and hurtful sexual comments it broadcast about Katie Price’s disabled son Harvey.
“Accordingly, on Katie Price’s instructions, we can confirm that we have had no option but to formally complain to OFCOM on Harvey Price’s behalf about the comments.”
The model and reality star was sickened after Boyle made a “vile” remark about eight-year-old Harvey, who suffers from autism and various medical issues.
Boyle said: “I have a theory about the reason Jordan married a cage fighter – she needed a man strong enough to stop Harvey from f**king her.”
He also joked that “Jordan and Peter Andre are still fighting each other over custody of Harvey – eventually one of them will lose and have to keep him.”
The jokes have been met with horror by the public, who have taken to micro-blogging website Twitter to vent their fury.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, who has been the subject of the Scot’s acerbic tongue in the past, tweeted: “Frankie Boyle’s comments on Katie Price’s son Harvey are vile. He should not be allowed to get away with this!!!!!!!”
In a previous statement, Channel 4 said: “Frankie Boyle is one of the highest profile comedians in the UK; he’s well known for his controversial humour and the programme carried appropriate warnings as to the nature of the material.
“The joke aired in the context of a late night comedy show. The joke itself has been performed by Frankie as part of his stage show and, as with much of his material, is an absurdist and satirical comment on high profile individuals whose lives have been played out in the media.”

Frankie Boyle isn’t in the least bit funny. He is the comedy equivalent of the playground bully who gets his jollies out of saying fart, knickers and poo. Jimmy Carr is edgy but funny, Rob Brydon is intelligent and hilarious, the newcomer Kevin Bridges really reflects Scottish humour. Boil is boring and deserves the sort audience who think his sick topics are funny.

That was pretty funny – I still do not understand why people who might get offended by comedians like frankie boyle and jimmy carr go to see them or watch them. I get offended by justin bieber, do you know what I do, I don’t listen to the idiot
Comedians such as Jimmy Carr, Billy Connolly, Ricky Gervais occasionally come out with near to the knuckle jokes but their whole act doesn’t depend on them. Boyle is like a modern-day Bernard Manning, but even less talented. Frankie boy keeps on spewing out his saddo vitriol without ever regretting any of it and in a way I feel sorry for his screwed-up psyche, but I wont watch him again. I had already switched off the first episode of Tramadol Nights as boring even before his sexual jokes about a handicapped child, a dead cancer victim and someone giving Christ a BJ. I just hope he starts on darkies, chinks and insults the prophet Mohammed to finish off and then lets see what that does to finish his career.

I used to quite like Frankie, I loved him on mock the week and enjoyed his book, but Tramadol Nights is just disturbing. i did find it offensive [and not just as I have an Autistic son] but didnt complain as i felt adequetly warned as to the contents.
At the end of the day you dont need to watch the show, if you dont like it dont watch it, dont ruin it for the people who like franky boyle and find him funny also the only reason why she asked her lawers to write to channel 4 is because she is to stupid to do it herself. As a perfectly able and expressive individual on the autistic spectrum, I think Frankie Boyle’s joke about Jordan’s son, Harvey is a vulgar attack on a disabled child, even on Harvey who is so severely disabled that he needs lifelong care. Jordan has to watch him constantly and deal with his temper tantrums and bad behaviour.
