Kate Middleton embarks on gruelling weight loss scheme in preparation for wedding to Prince William

Prince William’s fiancée Kate Middleton has reportedly embarked on a gruelling workout schedule in order to slim down and tone up for her wedding next year.

The 28-year-old Princess-to-be is an avid athlete, having rowed the English channel for charity in 2007.

US site Radar Online reports that Kate has now started a daily hour-long workout consisting of cycling, jogging and weight lifting.

She is also planning to hit the slopes this winter with her husband-to-be. The couple have enjoyed many ski trips together over the years, both at the Royal family’s favourite resort, Cloisters in Switzerland, and with Kate’s parents in France.

Radar also claims that Kate and her mother Carole are followers of the Dukan Diet, a weight loss plan favoured by celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Gisele Bundchen.

Developed by French nutritionist Dr Pierre Dukan, the plan has been described as a low-fat version of the Atkins diet, with followers sticking to high-protein low-carb meals.

  1. This would be a mistake. She has been a stable size for a long time, and her wedding dress has much more chance of fitting well and looking good without any last minute alterations if she simply continues her current diet and lifestyle. If it aint broke, trying to fix it will just increase the chances of something getting broken.

  2. Kate never rowed in the charity event. She also withdrew prior to it taking place.
ROL is the last place I would trust for factual information.

  3. Comments from the U.S.A.: Kate Middleton is going on some regimen to lose weight for the wedding???? Is she nuts? She already looks like a toothpick – what’s there to lose???

  4. As another poster noted, she did not row the Channel. And its Klosters, Switzerland, not ‘Cloisters’. Makes the rest of the ‘information’ in this article extremely suspect. Do you just make it up as you go along?
