Scouse funnyman John Bishop and model Lily Cole have been crowned Britain’s sexiest VEGETARIANS.
The meat-free celebs were awarded the accolade for 2013 by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Comedian John has been veggie for three decades and recently starred in Peta’s campaign ‘Chicks Love A Vegetarian’.

And earlier in the year the 47-year-old uploaded a photo of a cooked chicken carcass to Twitter with the caption: “People ask why I am vegetarian… give me a carrot any day.”
Yesterday he took to the web to express his delight at the award and tweeted: “Possibly the most unexpected thing I have every won – a nice lift feeling as fat as I so (sic) after Christmas.”
Top model Lily, 26, recently became vegan when she decided that ditching meat, eggs and dairy products would make her feel healthier.
Over the summer she used her status in the fashion and beauty industry to speak out about shark liver oil being used in moisturisers, conditioners and lipsticks.
At the Haye Festival she called on the EU to force manufacturers to label products that contain shark liver more clearly.
She said: “When people are made aware of this and understand the issue they can then make informed choices, and markets always follow consumers.”
Previous winners of the sexiest vegetarian title have included Leona Lewis, Anthony Kiedis, Eliza Doolittle, Jay McGuiness and Russell Brand.
John and Lily will both be given framed certificates and vegan chocolates by Peta.
