IT solutions provider ICC announced this week that it has gained the the ISO 27001:2013 accreditation.
Formerly known as the ISO/IEC 27001:2005, this updated certification is part of a specification for an Information Security Management System. The certification offers a top-down, risk-based approach to data security, and the measures that it describes are technology neutral. This accreditation is proof of ICC’s continued commitment to safeguard customer’s data and the improvement of quality procedures.
The ISO 27001:2013 accreditation is awarded to companies that meet exacting data security standards.
ICC, which supplies, supports and maintains enterprise IT equipment, including highly specialised legacy systems, has performed an extensive internal audit of their data security policies, and their staff have been trained in how to handle various data security scenarios. Employees are also required to follow specific processes when handling company data and customer data. These policies and processes have been audited by an independent third party as a part of earning the certification.
Managing Direcor Leon Wheeler said: ‘At ICC we are constantly pushing ourselves to do better and create a more rounded offering to benefit our customers. The ISO 27001 accreditation is just one example of how we are developing as a company, and is part of a broader plan to safeguard customer data and improve our quality procedures.’
ICC works with a wide range of clients, including everything from automobile manufacturers to animal feed production companies, as well as air traffic control systems. Stability, reliability and confidentiality are essential, and ICC is committed to offering the highest quality of service as well as the best and most cost-effective solutions for each client.
Supporting enterprise systems can be a significant challenge, and ICC understand that increased trust in their processes enhances customer satisfaction and improves client retention. Their commitment to improving quality standards, and their new technology partnerships, are all aimed towards offering the best in performance, reliability and flexibility for their customers.
