Benidorm, also known as Costa Blanca, is a Spanish region in the province of Alicante. It is located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, just 50 km from Alicante and 140 km from Valencia, each with its own international airport.

One of the most typical things to do in Benidorm is contemplating the city from its spectacular viewpoints. 

  • Mirador Gran Hotel Bali: From its 186 meter high viewpoint you can enjoy one of the best views of the city. It is located on Luis Prendes Street, 4.
  • Mirador de la Cruz: One of the most magical places in the city is the Mirador de la Cruz located at 217 meters. You will be able to enjoy the best views of the skyline of the city from there. This viewpoint is located in the Sierra Helada, which can be accessed on foot or by car.
  • Benidorm Castle – The Balcony of the Mediterranean: In Punta Canfali, the great rock that separates the two great beaches of Benidorm you will be able to visit Benidorm Castle. It was the fortress that served as a defense to the city in the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Subsequently, the Castle was abandoned, leaving only some remains of the walls. It is here where the impressive viewpoint known as “Balcony of the Mediterranean” is located.

VISIT THE ISLAND OF BENIDORM

The beautiful Island of Benidorm is located right in front of the beach. It is an important Marine Reserve with a great wealth and diversity, a surprise for diving enthusiasts. Or if you prefer, you can visit the island by boat. Tons of excursions are organized to admire both, the landscape of the coast and the marvelous seabed.

WALK AROUND THE CITY CENTER

Although you won’t want to leave the beach, it is recommended to take a walk through the city center. Visit the Plaza de Santa Ana, the Handicraft Market, the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, and the Castle.
