It may look like the work of a wildlife photographer but this picture of an insect stuck in a hose pipe nozzle was captured on an – iPhone.
Supply teacher Tom Hoey, 49, was about to wash his car when he saw this creepy crawly trying to escape the hosepipe.
Despite water gushing from the pipe, the insect remained lodged in the nozzle and seemingly unable to escape.
Having been inspired by photographs of a fire tornado, Tom turned off the pipe and rushed back inside to get his iPhone in an attempt to picture the incident.
When he returned the insect was still stuck and Tom turned on the hosepipe in a bid to help it out while capturing the scene on camera.
Tom, from Digswell, Herts., said: “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, it was bizarre.
“After turning the water on and off a couple of times it finally popped out.”
