Santa Claus really is coming to town …
Amateur photographer Julie Wells was stunned when she snapped this amazing cloud formation – shaped like Father Christmas on his sleigh.
Julie, 53, was out watching doves in her garden in Thurlestone, Devon, when she spotted the unusual formation.
She could make out the image of Santa sitting in his sleigh being pulled by reindeer.
The nanny and cleaner said: “I saw the cloud and ran in straight away to fetch my camera.
“Anyone who doubts Santa’s existence should take a look at this picture. I think everyone needs to believe in something.”
The type of cloud in the picture is a stratus which are characterised by horizontal layers.
Some call these clouds “high fog” because of their hazy, fog like, appearance.
