School children are being given extra help with their homework with teachers giving them – IPODS.
Staff at King Charles I School in Kidderminster, Worcs., are lending pupils the gizmos to help them study for their GCSEs.
Year 11 pupils can hire out iPods for a week which come loaded with programmes and applications linked to their courses.
A school spokeswoman said: ”If, for example, a pupil is studying a module on modern art or classical music, they can download examples onto their iPod.
”Allowing pupils to hear and see for themselves is what teaching is all about and the iPods are proving to be a very effective teaching tool.”
