Jobless Jordan Hawthorne, 21, was rushed to hospital after suffering a seizure as a result of smoking a “new psychoactive substance” that was freely available from high street shops. He had been addicted to cannabis from the age of 17 and would smoke weed every day. But last year he tried a legal substance known as Berries, which he thought would be harmless but sparked a downward spiral that almost ended his life.
