A man who tried to burn down his home when his marriage broke down after just TEN WEEKS has been found dead in his prison cell.
Product designer Stuart Baumber, 42, was arrested last month after setting fire to his house in a failed suicide.
He married wife Sarah, 31, on August 3 but the couple are thought to have separated two months later.
Baumber, who had an eight year-old daughter, raised thousands for charity through his love of running.
Firefighters were called to his £280,000 home in Littleport, Cambs., on October 28 after reports a man had set fire to it and was still inside.
Baumber was treated for smoke inhalation and later charged with arson which he admitted.
He appeared at Cambridge Crown Court and was remanded in custody for sentencing.
Two days later on November 15 he was found dead in his cell at HMP Peterborough.
The Ministry of Justice said: “HMP Peterborough prisoner Stuart Baumber was found unresponsive in his cell at 4.20am on Friday, November 15.
“Prison staff attempted CPR and paramedics attended but he was pronounced dead at 4.47am.
“As with all deaths in custody, the Independent Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will conduct an investigation.”
