Firefighters were faced with the unusual rescue task after a horse fell in a swimming pool.

The horse, which appeared to be taking advantage of an early start to the summer, was stuck inside the pool, unable to get out.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Chichester, West Sussex and arrived at around 7:35p on Saturday.
Crews from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s Technical Rescue Unit (TRU), were able to rescue the horse by 7:45pm.

The horse was lifted from the pool using a hoist and a ‘Unimog’, a heavy-duty vehicle.
A spokesperson from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “It’s certainly unusual to rescue a horse from a swimming pool.
“Our Technical Rescue Unit have a Unimog, which has a hoist. They would have used this to life the horse up and out of the pool.
“We left the horse with a vet and the owner.”
