A step-dad kidnapped and attacked two young women before chopping one up and putting her in the freezer, a horrified neighbour has claimed.
A neighbour claimed the man was arrested when he tried to flee the country from Dover – after slashing his step-daughter’s throat, and killing his niece.
The brutal murder was only discovered on Wednesday afternoon after the girls aged 19 and 21 were taken to the detached property on well-heeled Coombe Lane West, Kingston.
The house, which is owned by the property next door, was rented out at the weekend and they were brought to it between 1.30pm and 3pm.
A next door neighbour called police concerned for the girls’ safety and an initial search by police at 5pm found nothing.
But just over three hours later the 21-year-old arrived at hospital with a knife slash to her neck and police made the gruesome discovery, it was said.
Outside the house today (Fri) a Renault Clio with its drivers window smashed was parked up and a silver fridge freezer could be seen through the open front door behind the police cordon.
“He kidnapped them both and chopped one of them up and put her in the freezer.
“He slit the other one’s throat.
“When the relative told me earlier I thought ‘oh my God that is awful’.
“There was at least six or seven cars maybe more and at least ten relatives here, they obviously had something to do with it.
“I spoke to the neighbours earlier and they said that the person who rented the house out had only done so at the weekend.
“The man was the stepdad to one of the girls as well. ”
Another neighbour said: “The police came round and told me they were looking at a window of 1.30pm and 3pm when they went into the house.
“I wasn’t at home then, but all the relatives looked south Asian or Indian I think.”
The owners of the house refused to speak on advice of police.
“On Wednesday, 19 July at approximately 5pm officers received a call raising concerns for the welfare of two women.
“Officers attended and carried out a number of enquiries which included a search of a residential property but there was no trace of either woman.
“Other enquires continued.
“At 7.18pm police were alerted by staff at a south London hospital after a woman, believed to be aged in her 20s, who had been admitted suffering stab/slash injuries.
“The woman remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
“As a result of information received, officers attended a residential address in Coombe Lane West, Kingston at around 8pm.
“The body of a woman, believed to be aged 19, was found at the address.
“Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased and next of kin have been informed.
“A post-mortem examination and formal identification will be arranged in due course.
“Three people have been arrested as part of this investigation.
“Two men aged 33 and 28 have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
“A 29-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
“All three remain custody at separate police stations.
Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command investigate.
Murder squad’s Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price said: “We are doing everything we can to fully understand the circumstances of this despicable attack on two young women.
“The death of the 19-year-old woman is being treated as murder and the attack on the 21-year-old is being treated as attempted murder.
“We are appealing for anyone with information to contact us.
“At this early stage it is believed the two victims were taken to an address before being attacked.
“We also understand that the victims were known to their attackers. Enquiries continue to establish the motive for this incident.”
