Robert Boyd-Stevenson, of Headford Road in Bristol, pleaded guilty to one count of making a bomb hoax (communicating false information) and was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court today (21/1). Stevenson sent a series of text messages containing security threats to a phone linked with the airport on Saturday 29 August. The messages resulted in emergency services attending the scene and the airport raising its security threat level – resulting in normal contingency procedures being activated.
