Frankie the hedgehog – named as such while its carers continue to work out if it’s a she or a he – was discovered by a maintenance man in the kitchen of student accommodation at Sheffield University, South Yorks., on Saturday, April 2. The injured animal was then taken to Allan Broadhead, 77, and his wife Anita, 63, who run Cawthorne Hedgehog Rescue and Care Centre in Barnsley, South Yorks.
