Tottenham Hotspur football boss Harry Redknapp has signed a few donkeys over the years but here’s one he’ll be applauded for – the Russian parasailing ass.
Animal-loving Redknapp has revealed he wants to open a sanctuary and will happily give the donkey a home after seeing the sickening clip of the animal being forced to parasail.
The world was shocked when video footage of 17-year-old Anapka was broadcast being dragged through the air at the Black Sea resort of Golubitskaya. The cruel publicity stunt prompted worldwide condemnation from animal rights groups.
Anapka was strapped to a parachute by Russian businessman Vasily Gorobets, who dragged her through the sky for the 30 minute ordeal with onlookers reporting the donkey braying in fear.
The straight-talking Spurs gaffer told The Sun: “I am sickened by the actions of the scumbag who treated Anapka so badly.
“If I had my way, I’d throw the idiot in prison. He should be prosecuted for what he’s done. If she can be brought over to England, I’d find her a place in a field to live and be well cared for.”
