A grown man who dialled 999 after he got stuck on top of a children’s CLIMBING FRAME was brought to safety – down the SLIDE.
Emergency crews raced to a playground after the 25-year-old said he had vertigo – and was stuck on the 10ft high frame.
He called for help at 4am on Saturday and told a 999 operator he was “trapped at the top of children’s play equipment” at the park in Redruth, Cornwall.
But the bizarre emergency was quickly over when two firefighters climbed up and helped the man down via a slide.
Firefighter Rob Hoskins said: “When we arrived he was about 10ft off the ground and scared because he was scared of heights.
“Two firefighters climbed up the climbing frame and following negotiations with him he agreed to be helped down using the slide.”
