Cheryl Cole and the rest of Girls Aloud will be busy buying new hats after their bandmate Sarah Harding announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend, DJ Tom Crane.
Tom, 29, popped the question to 29-year-old Sarah on New Year’s Eve during a romantic break in the Maldives.
He took to his twitter account to announce the news last night, writing: “A late happy new year to you all… I feel like the luckiest man in the world!!!”
The pair have been dating since 2007 and Tom is resident DJ at Sarah’s nightclub Kanaloa, which she purchased in 2009.
Tom has previously spoken of his desire to tie the knot with Sarah, saying: “I know the kind of ring Sarah wants. I want an old-fashioned English wedding. I want the top and tails, more subtle than a celebrity wedding.”
A spokesperson for Sarah confirmed the engagement but said that no date had been set yet.
