Friends of a tragic schoolgirl who died after taking a suspected ecstasy-type tablet at a party have taken to social media to pay tribute.
Jodie Muir, 16, attended a house party where she is believed to have taken the drug with friends.
She later returned home feeling unwell at 5am on Saturday and died several hours later.
Police have issued a drugs warning and are now trying to trace up to 50 other youths who attended the party in Rutherglen, Glasgow, to determine what happened and if anyone else consumed the substance.
Just hours later shocked friends posted tributes to Twitter and Facebook at the sudden news of their pal’s death.
On Jodie’s Facebook profile, dozens of friends left comments on photos of the dead teenager.

Samantha Mchardy said: “Rest in peace beautiful, still dont believe it, you were such an amazing girl with your whole Life ahead of you breaks ma wee heart that ill never see ur wee face, or hear some silly story that Youve got to say sleep tight princess xx (sic)”

Dozens of others posted their heartfelt tributes to Twitter.
