Fraser Watt's flight timings the longest Christmas day. A flying Scotsman is racing Santa around the world to break the record for the longest Christmas Day. See Centre Press story CPFLY; Fraser Watt, 58, will take off from Auckland at midnight on Christmas Eve, before passing through Hong Kong, London and Los Angeles. If all goes according to plan, Fraser will land in Honolulu, Hawaii, at 11.37pm on Christmas Day after flying an incredible twenty thousand miles, and stretching Christmas to 47 hours. Fraser hopes to not only break the record for the longest Christmas Day, but also the furthest distance travelled on a commercial airliner in a single day. He first thought of the idea when he was sitting in a bar in New Zealand in 2015, where he and his friend Nate Harrold were helping with the earthquake relief effort.
