Stunning photos show a fork of lightning piercing through the sky against the backdrop of a double rainbow.
The striking photographs were captured as heavy rain, thunder and lightning hit the country on Saturday evening after a sunny afternoon.
The two rainbows arched across the sky over Somerset as the weather turned stormy.

And wedding photographer Paul Gibbard, a member of Somerset Camera Club, was quick to grab his iPhone 8 and snap the stunning shots from his back garden.
The 46-year-old, from Bridgwater, said: “We were actually running a bit late to go out to a party, and my wife was getting a bit annoyed because I was standing there taking photos.
“But it was definitely worth it,” he added.
A local weather station in nearby Brent Knoll recorded a peak temperature of 24.2°C (75.5°F) in Somerset on Saturday afternoon.
During the evening, the humidity led to thunder and lightning – coinciding with the dazzling double rainbow.
