Five supermarket workers have all fallen pregnant within just two months of each other.
Colleagues Rachel Hurley, 30, Kelsey McGill, 26, Sarah Cranswick, 26, Katie Mell, 40, and Kirstie Appleyard, 26, are all expecting.
The colleagues have worked at the Asda supermarket in Hull, East Yorks., for over 40 years between them and are expecting a mix of boys and girls.
Rachel Hurley, who’s having her second child, is the only one to have decided on a name and will be welcoming Hudson into the world in May.
Sarah, who is expecting her first child, said; “It’s so nice having people going through the same experience so we can talk all things pregnancy.
“Me and Kirstie are best friends and have known each other since high school so we’re are always updating each other on our progress and how big the babies have gotten.
“Everyone at work keeps asking what water fountain we’ve all been drinking out of but we just laugh and say that it’s down to ‘the special checkout chair’ and whoever sits on it will be next.”
The five pregnant workers cravings range from pineapple and pickled onions, vanilla milkshakes, Bounty’s and cheese salad sandwiches.
Ady Dudding, duty manager at the store, said; “It was quite an eventful couple of months with the five of them coming forward to let management know about their good news.
“It got to a point where I thought Kirstie, who’s due last, was having me on after the other four had told me.
“They’re such a great bunch and will be missed when they’re all on maternity leave but we look forward to the days where we’ll get to meet the new additions to the wider Asda family.”
