This is the first picture of a six-year-old boy who was killed by a bus as he walked to school with his mother.
Tragic Finlay Connor was hit by the 52-seat single decker just yards from his small primary school in front of horrified classmates at around 9am on Monday.
He was walking along the rural grassy lane in Woodborough, Wilts., with his mother Nicola, who was seriously injured in the collision.
They were both rushed to Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where Year One pupil Finlay died.
Nicola was transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
The coach, which had just dropped a group of children off at the school gates, reversed over the pair after colliding with a tractor on the narrow lane.
The driver, a 52-year-old man, was arrested and questioned at Salisbury police station before being released on police bail on Monday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire police said: ”Anyone who witnessed the collision or who was in the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 0845 408 7000.”
