Rusty the dog. Fire crews rescued a dog today after it fell around 50 feet down a sinkhole in Cornwall. See SWNS story SWSINK. Firefighters from Helston and Tolvaddon helped with the call-out which saw crews bring a tow-truck with them to help pull the dog out. The crews arrived to find a spaniel had fallen down a sink hole at Ashton, near Helston. They rescued the dog using rope rescue equipment before reuniting it with its owner.
