Bex Venables (R) leader of the Buzz Children’s Club at Rugby Christian Fellowship Church. A furious mum have revealed how her five-year-old son has been banned from his church play group because he likes to wear princess dresses. See NTI story NTIDRESS. Little Romeo Clarke has a collection of 100 dresses and eight pairs of children’s high heels which he likes to wear every day. His favourite colour is pink and he likes to wear something pink everyday even when he is at school such as pink socks or a pink hair clip. The youngster, from Rugby, Warwickshire, is so unfazed by what people think he also likes having his hair straightened, having his nails painted and playing with Barbie dolls. Romeo started St Maries Catholic Primary School in September last year and also started going to the town’s Christian Fellowship’s Buzz Children’s Club after school on Wednesdays. But now he has been banned from going to the club for wearing the dresses as the organisers have deemed it inappropriate and confusing for the other children.
